Amoebic Productions is a record label.

It grew out of Amoebic Dissonance, a fanzine that we began on the web in May 2000 [after it became unable to sustain its paper version] to cover good music and radical politics. Sick of the barrage of rubbish we were forced to review on a regular basis, the Amoebic staffers saw that there was clearly a need for some unknown, hungry talent to challenge the hegemony of dull boy-rock, cod-angry nu-metal bluster, saccharine chart pop and nostalgic oneupmanship currently gripping pop culture. We want to release music we know can provide the anger, lust and genuine pop thrills so lacking elsewhere. History is dead. Throw off the chains of the Baby Boomer generation's cultural slavery, and all of the traitors among 'our' generation who doff their cap to them. The Beatles broke up over 30 years ago. It's time to laser off the funeral armband we were tattooed with from birth. A band that you and your friends formed yesterday is more important now than the Beatles ever were. It's time to make our own truth.
